We came in on a Saturday afternoon from New Paltz and were the only ones there. We were told to sit wherever we wanted. I had visited years ago and had a great experience so decided to come back. The owner makes everything fresh to order. I ordered a ginger elixir which was amazing. My mom had the lentil soup which was delicious! I ordered the chicken shawarma which was just as good as I remembered and the homemade dressing on the salad was sooo good! My mom had the kabob which was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The rice was also perfectly seasoned. We took honey cake to go which she had just baked! We will definitely be back!
Mom and pop in the right way. The food is so good and different. Yum! Got to check out the hip eclectic outside seating area. The sauce, the seasoning. Fresh. Keep being weirdly you.
Great middle eastern food, and the pizza's also are awesome! the outdoor seating could be better, but overall it was a great experience.
We stumbled across this gem by accident and wow were we impressed! The food was absolutely delicious! We had the lamb and chicken shish kebobs. The meat was so tender and the seasoning perfection! I can't recommend this enough!!
For all those looking for authentic food, as if you have been invited into someone's home, supporting a small and local business that locals LOVE. You found it. Just please be patient! For all others looking for an authentic experience but EXPECTING big box restaurant service. Go to the big box. Delicious food.
Upon recommendation from my nephew, (and he joined us!) some of us new to mediterranean cooking, 6 of us went to have dinner at the Garden House. We were seated on the front porch & since it was a tad chilly, the owner (Nahada) turned on the space heater which made it lovely. The food was outstanding the flavors were great and I had to take a doggie bag home (Chicken Tagine) because the serving was way too much! Others had a chicken schwarma sandwich and other types of different dishes and all raved about their food. For dessert we shared a slice of Halva which was delicious. To finish off a great meal a few of us had a turkish coffee which I feel can be addictive! Prices were very reasonable.
This place is cash only but there is an ATM there. I came with two friends for dinner and was blown away by the quality and flavor of the food. We shared the vegetarian sampler platter and halloumi salad to start. Every one of the dips was delish! The halloumi was fried to perfection and every bite was so fresh it didn't need dressing (which was served on the side) I had the goat cheese pesto flatbread, the pesto was... the best-o and the flatbread crust was so fluffy and crispy! The food was clearly prepared with love and intention- I would absolutely come back if I'm ever in the neighborhood!
